The independent commission appointed by the UNO carried out the investigation in Syria. 621 Syrian nationals were interviewed. Their testimonies coincided with a large number of irrefutable facts. On the grounds of interviews and compelling evidence, UNO commissioners reported on the large-scale abuse of human rights during the armed conflict.
The report reads that the Syrian authorities as well as militants of Islamic State and Jabhat al-Nusra committed a massive amount of military crimes on Syria’s territory and violated human rights of civilians.
