Ukraine`s state-owned enterprise Antonov, the only Ukrainian designer and manufacturer of cargo and passenger planes, on December 20 presented the first prototype of a new An-132 transport aircraft, created together with Saudi Arabia. Ukraine`s President Petro Poroshenko has attended the aircraft roll-out in Kyiv (in the photo). The politician congratulated the Ukrainian state company and all those who worked on the development of the aircraft, with the implementation of the plan in the shortest possible time.
Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko said that the potential market for the An-132 is 260-290 aircraft by the year 2035.
The An-132 aircraft was assembled over a period of about one year.
The head of Ukraine wrote on his official page on Twitter, that the AN-132D is a new prominent representative of the world-famous transport line of Ukrainian origin, such as "Antei", "Ruslan", "Mariya".
